Actress Lindsay Lohan has been arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident and causing
an injury after video emerged which allegedly shows her car clipping a man standing on the pavement.
The pictures were released by the New York Police Department and appear to show a black Porsche turn right onto the pavement and slowly enter a driveway outside the Dream Hotel nightclub.
Restaurant worker Jose Rodriguez was standing in a group of ten people and claims the car hit his knee as it drove past and that Ms Lohan subsequently failed to stop when he walked after her.
Ms Lohan was later arrested and given a ticket, though her publicist insisted the injury claim was without basis.
The New York Daily News reported that Mr Rodriguez claimed the actress had been 'slurring' her words. "They acted like I was nothing," he said. "That no one could touch her because she was rich and powerful."
But police commissioner Raymond Kelly said there was no evidence to suggest Ms Lohan had been drinking. A spokesperson for Ms Lohan dismissed the slow drive-by as "much ado about nothing".
